Camping at Knoll Lake
We decided that we would like to take a camping trip later this summer. To do a trial run, we decided to head up to Knoll Lake for one night as a trial run and to make sure all our camping our equipment worked.
After arriving at the campsite, the girls found a horned lizard to play with. The campsite was also large enough for us to park the jeep and trailer so it wasn't right next to the tent.
Before packing up the next morning, we headed down to the lake for a swim.
And then it was time to pack up and head home.
The one night trial was overall a success (some of the air mattresses need patching) but this confirms that we can try a longer trip later this summer.

Crawfishing at Goldwater Lake, Prescott
Today we took the girls and went to Prescott to spend a few hours at Goldwater Lake.
We packed the fishing gear in case anything was biting.
There weren't any fish, but we did find a lot of crawfish.
And I mean a lot!! Since they are invasive, you are welcome to take as many as you can.
And we caught a LOT and brought them home and had a crawfish boil for dinner.

Jeeping near Seven Springs
We decided to take advantage of the weather before it gets really hot and went Jeeping near Seven Springs (Northeast of Phoenix).
The pictures are supposed to look like we are lifting the Jeep, but I think the angles were wrong!

Hiking to Romero Pools (near Tucson)
We drove down to the Tucson area to hike in the Santa Cataline Mountains and visit Romero Pools.
There was still a bit of water in the pools, since it isn't quite summer yet.During part of the hike, I got a bit overheated and needed to stop and find some shade to sit, and then head back. Steve hiked a bit further before he turned around, since I felt ok enough to start heading back on my own (and I new he would catch up with me since I was going slow on my return).

Jeeping at Horseshoe Lake and Dam
The weather was beautiful today, so we decided to head to Horseshoe lake and dam, which is northeast of Cave Creek, AZ.
On the way back, we drove through seven springs and played in the river.
There were a few flooded areas that we needed to cross.
